Christopher Lonn - Associate Attorney
Christopher D. Lonn practices general commercial litigation, arbitration and administrative law with a focus on contractual disputes, real estate disputes, construction litigation and securities litigation. With respect to real estate law, Mr. Lonn represents homebuilders and developers in the full range of problems that such businesses encounter. He has handled numerous construction defect actions and consumer disputes. He represents contractors and individuals before the Arizona Registrar of Contractors and realtors before the Arizona Department of Real Estate.
In securities law, Mr. Lonn has represented both broker-dealers and investors in disputes that cover the full range of securities practice. He has represented brokers before various administrative agencies, including the Arizona Securities Division, the Arizona Corporation Commission, the National Association of Securities Dealers, and the Securities and Exchange Commission. Mr. Lonn has substantial experience in arbitration proceedings before organizations such as the National Association of Securities Dealers and the American Arbitration Association.
While focusing on real estate, construction and securities disputes, Mr. Lonn also maintains a general commercial litigation practice which extends to all manner of business disputes, including commercial torts, breaches of contract, breaches of fiduciary duty, defamation, shareholder derivative actions, trademark and copyright violations, and other related commercial disputes. He also counsels clients, and provides transactional legal counsel, on a wide variety of business and employment-related issues.
Mr. Lonn has conducted numerous trials and a wide variety of hearings in the United States District Court of Arizona and Arizona Superior Court. He has represented clients before the United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, Arizona Supreme Court, and the Arizona Court of Appeals.
Mr. Lonn has been practicing in Arizona since 1993. In 1999, he was admitted to the State Bar of California. Mr. Lonn is admitted to practice in the following districts of the United States District Court: District of Arizona, Northern District of California and Central District of California.
Since 1998, Mr. Lonn as served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Scottsdale Bar Association. He served as President of the Scottsdale Bar Association for the 2004-2005 term. In 2005, he was selected by the Scottsdale City Council to serve as the State Bar of Arizona’s representative on the Scottsdale Judicial Appointments Advisory Board. In 1988, Mr. Lonn graduated magna cum laude from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Justice Studies. He received his legal education from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor degree in 1993.
