Deryck Lavelle uses his experience and training to help solve legal problems of business owners and individuals, particularly in real estate disputes, commercial litigation matters and residential and commercial landlord tenant cases. Mr. Lavelle also specializes in representing corporate and individual taxpayers in valuation and property tax disputes against State and local governments throughout the State of Arizona. His representation extends to office, retail, industrial, hospitality and multi-family residential property owners, oil and gas companies, those in the air and ground transportation industry, telecommunication and utility providers, real estate developers and agricultural landowners. Mr. Lavelle has successfully recovered over $10 million in property tax refunds for his clients.
Mr. Lavelle received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgetown University in 1993 and his law degree from California Western School of Law in 2002. In addition, Mr. Lavelle also attended the University of Hull Graduate School of Law & Politics in Hull, England and received his Master of Arts degree in International Law and Politics in 1998.
Mr. Lavelle was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland. Before moving to Arizona in 1996, Mr. Lavelle lived in New York City, Washington D.C., London, England and Sydney, Australia.
